Constellation Software Inc. Legacy CSI Constellation NEWSTAR Homebuilder Construction ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, Crescent Homes implemented CSI Constellation NEWSTAR Homebuilder, a Construction ERP. The deployment positioned CSI Constellation NEWSTAR Homebuilder as the core operational system for homebuilding workflows across Crescent Homes' divisional footprint including the GVL division. The implementation configured core modules including purchasing, project and job costing, sales order backlog management, lot control and general ledger accounting, aligned to homebuilder operational workflows. CSI Constellation NEWSTAR Homebuilder was used to standardize purchase order lifecycles, procurement catalogues and construction phase cost tracking. Integrations were implemented with BuildPro and SalesXpress to synchronize sales order data and field project records, enabling a handoff from sales into construction execution. Operational coverage included the Purchasing organization, designers and project managers, with explicit daily use by a Purchasing team of four managing procurement and design workflows. Governance centered on role based ownership in Purchasing and staged divisional rollouts to align procurement procedures and job cost governance, with configuration and training activity recorded through 2022 and into 2024. CSI Constellation NEWSTAR Homebuilder remained part of Crescent Homes' systems footprint through 2024, preserving sales order visibility and lot control during corporate asset activity.
