| Epic Systems | Oracle Health EHR | EPIC EHR | Electronic Health Record | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2025 | 2025 |
In 2025, Crouse Health implemented EPIC EHR, replacing Oracle Health EHR as its enterprise clinical system. The EPIC EHR deployment addresses Crouse Health Electronic Health Record requirements and is positioned to unify inpatient and ambulatory clinical workflows, documentation, order entry, medication administration, scheduling, and revenue cycle functions.
Configuration work centered on core Epic modules for inpatient clinical charting, ambulatory clinic workflows, order management, pharmacy functionality, scheduling, and financial/administrative workflows consistent with an Electronic Health Record implementation. The program included stabilization of clinical templates, standardized order sets, role-based access controls, and embedded clinical decision support to align care pathways across sites.
The implementation scope covered an enterprise conversion including migration of patient records from Oracle Health EHR into EPIC EHR, consolidating longitudinal patient records across Crouse Health facilities and affiliated ambulatory sites in the United States. Data migration, reconciliation, and cutover sequencing were core technical activities to preserve clinical continuity during the transition.
Program governance emphasized clinical and build governance structures, with multidisciplinary steering, physician superuser networks, and structured training and go-live support to manage workflow change. The rollout was organized around phased releases and targeted stabilization windows to control clinical risk and enable iterative optimization after initial go-live.
