UKG Legacy Ascentis Benefits Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2023 2023
In 2023, Crystal Jade Culinary Concepts implemented Ascentis Benefits as its Benefits Administration platform across its multinational operations. The deployment was positioned within a centralized IT service model that supported operations across eight countries in Asia and a multinational workforce of approximately 4,500 employees, with over 2,000 cross country users managed through corporate IT services. The Ascentis Benefits implementation focused on core benefits administration functionality, including benefits enrollment, eligibility management, employee self service for enrollment and life event updates, and configuration of benefits plans and approval workflows. The implementation included administrative dashboards and reporting to support HR and benefits administrators, and configuration of open enrollment workflows and standard benefits lifecycle processes consistent with Benefits Administration best practices. Integrations were aligned with existing HR and finance ecosystems, explicitly linking Ascentis Benefits to BIPO HRMS for employee master data synchronization and to Epicor ERP and Anaplan for finance and cost accounting adjacency. The benefits platform was governed by the company security and device management stack, leveraging M365 Business Premium, Intune, Defender XDR and Fortinet SOC for access control and endpoint posture as part of the operational architecture. Governance and rollout were managed by the Head of Information Technology who also served as Data Protection Officer, establishing IT governance controls and leading compliance audits across jurisdictions. The IT organization of 14 professionals centralized configuration, supported regional rollout sequencing, and aligned platform operating and capital budgets with corporate financial planning while embedding data protection and workflow change controls into benefits administration processes.
