In 2020, CSEM implemented eXo Platform as its new digital workplace to engage communities and promote collaboration, positioning the deployment within its Employee Experience initiatives. The selection emphasized a solution that delivered simplicity and ease of use while adding a collaborative and social layer to daily operations across the organization.
The eXo Platform deployment focused on core Employee Experience capabilities, including social collaboration spaces, real time communication channels, project collaboration workspaces, and centralized document access and management. Configuration prioritized usability, streamlined navigation, content publishing, discussion threads, and shared document libraries to reduce friction for knowledge workers and project teams.
CSEM’s project team established evaluation criteria that prioritized simplicity and collaboration, and used those criteria to select and roll out eXo Platform across employee communities. Governance and operational ownership remained with the internal project team, supported by community managers and role based content controls to govern access and community moderation workflows.
CSEM reported that eXo Platform simplified communicating in real time, collaborating on projects, and accessing and managing documents, describing the implementation as a revamp of their Employee Experience and digital workplace. The narrative from the project emphasizes user experience improvements and streamlined daily workflows rather than providing quantified metrics.

Operational ownership for the Oracle Moat deployment resides with CSEM’s marketing, communications, and web analytics teams, who manage tag deployment, data controls, and reporting cadence. Governance was established through tagging standards and a measurement policy to ensure consistent instrumentation and to operationalize Oracle Moat outputs into ongoing marketing measurement and verification practice.
