Testing and configuration work explicitly covered VIM Open Text invoice processing, AP Finance, tax calculations within SAP OneSource and FICO ledger and reporting components, with BW report validation performed using Altryx and Analysis for Office. Integrations were validated as core elements of the program, testing Workday to S4 integration, S4 to Ariba handoffs and RICEF object behavior that propagated report and master data updates between S/4 HANA and downstream systems. Integration testing and validation extended to SCM, EAM and PM procurement processes and to data flows that ensure reports updated in S/4 HANA appear correctly in Ariba and BW reporting stacks. Governance and process controls centered on a formal testing development life cycle, with design and execution of test plans, unit testing in SAP GUI, testing of FIORI tiles, test script development and repository maintenance in Rally. QA activities included FIT GAP identification, defect triage, collaboration with development and business stakeholders for remediation, creation of test data for master records and security testing to support the S/4 HANA rollout.

The team configured parallel events for Merit and Bonus using Compensation Review Participation, grid configuration for Promotions as part of the Merit process, and Termination Participation Rule events to exclude terminated employees from compensation pools. Supervisory org maintenance and end to end business process configuration were established to manage org changes and worker movements. The technical architecture incorporated inbound Workday Studio integrations to bring daily worker data changes from SAP into Workday, and a mix of outbound mechanisms using EIB and Cloud Connectors for Payroll and Benefits integrations. Integrations were built and managed using Calculated Fields, Document Transformation, Workday Connector, XML, XSLT, and Web Services, and internal EIBs were used for outbound feeds. SumTotal VMS was used alongside Workday for talent forecasting and employee lifecycle management, and integrations covered hire, termination, leave of absence, and compensation change transactions. Governance emphasis included producing use cases, activity diagrams, and requirement specifications, developing and maintaining documentation, and creating test scenarios across Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, and Recruiting for regression testing. Reporting and data management work included custom Workday reports, matrix and advanced custom reports, data conversions, security management, and oversight of Workday upgrade cycles to preserve operational continuity. The engagement tied Workday Benefits to business process management and operational controls across HR, compensation, and benefits administration.
