In 2017, Cymer implemented Exact Globe for ERP Financial to centralize its corporate finance application in Exact’s private cloud. The decision addressed four identified problems across Cymer’s European operations, specifically hardware and remote support for Exact Globe and ageing operating system and database software where the impact of updates was uncertain.
The deployment moved Cymer’s core financial software into Exact’s private cloud, consolidating accounting, financial close and reporting workflows consistent with ERP Financial functional patterns. Configuration work emphasized cloud-hosted application management, centralized update orchestration and automated backup provisioning to remove on-premises maintenance tasks.
Operational coverage targeted Cymer’s European finance environment and extended secure remote access to external stakeholders and employees working from home. Exact Globe in the private cloud eliminated the need for local hardware and local remote support, shifting maintenance, patching and backup responsibilities to Exact as part of the managed cloud service.
Governance was reoriented toward centralized application lifecycle management with defined update windows and transparent cost structures under Exact’s private cloud model. The stated benefits included no required on-premises hardware, no worries about updates, no worries about back-ups, transparent costs, improved performance and accessibility for external stakeholders.

In 2009 Cymer implemented Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS to centralize Core HR support for its full-cycle Talent Acquisition activities. The implementation supported recruiting operations for a four-person recruiter team and covered candidate management tasks ranging from Optical Scientists to Senior Directors.
Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS was configured to manage requisition creation, offer letter generation, candidate recordkeeping, and confidential employee document storage, reflecting Core HR functional workflows. The deployment supported scheduling and coordination workflows, including multi-panel interview scheduling and conference room reservations, and captured recruiter actions such as creating requisitions and preparing offer documentation within the HRIS.
The HRMS environment was integrated operationally with an ATS, Taleo, to locate resumes and drive requisition and offer processes, aligning candidate data flows between Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS and the talent acquisition pipeline. Operational coverage included interview logistics, travel arrangements for candidates and hires, and submission of expense reimbursement reports, with HR and recruiting teams using the combined systems for communications and audit-ready record retention.
Governance centered on a single point of contact model for candidate logistics and confidential document handling, standardizing recruiter handoffs and communication workflows. Processes were documented to ensure consistent use of Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS for Core HR recruiting actions, requisition lifecycle management, and secure HR record management.

In 2009, Cymer implemented Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) as its Field Service Management solution. The deployment supported more than 175 Oracle Field Service users and established a centralized support model responsible for end user issue intake and lifecycle management.
Operational responsibilities included a single point of contact for issue triage and resolution, managing a queue of user submitted issues with an average time to resolution of 48 hours, and defining the escalation workflow for service teams. The implementation included a structured training program where Oracle Field Service Cloud training was developed and delivered for new hires, refresher sessions for existing users, and supplemental training for new business processes delivered in classroom settings, online, via conference calls and through published training documents.
Configuration and testing work emphasized user experience and data collection, with the main contact responsible for determining and validating application changes and accompanying business process updates. The role served as subject matter expert for Oracle Field Service Cloud in cross functional and cross departmental groups, aligning configuration, testing and training with operational needs.
Governance centered on queue ownership, issue lifecycle procedures and a regular cadence of monthly metrics for Field Service Management to communicate user issues and identify training opportunities. Oracle Field Service Cloud functioned as the operational platform for field service workflows, issue tracking, training delivery and application change testing.
