In 2011, Dagrofa A/S implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV, deploying Microsoft as the vendor for its ERP Financial solution. The implementation focused on supporting Dagrofa S Wholesale operations, the nationwide cash and carry business that serves 29 stores and supplies merchants, convenience stores, cafes and restaurants across Denmark.
EG Retail delivered the Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution for the main office, configuring core finance and supply chain workflows consistent with ERP Financial requirements. The deployment encompassed accounts, general ledger, inventory and procurement orchestration, and was aligned with retail order-to-cash processes to support wholesale distribution and store replenishment.
Dynamics NAV was integrated with the retail point of sale Sales system NewPOS and with digital surveillance workflows including bonintegration, creating end-to-end transaction and audit trails between store POS activity and central finance. The technical footprint therefore included store-level POS connectivity to the main office ERP, workforce rostering integration to staff scheduling, and surveillance event capture tied to transactional records.
Governance centered on centralizing finance and retail operational control at the main office, with configuration of staff-rostering and surveillance processes to support store operations and compliance. The implementation narrative emphasizes Microsoft Dynamics NAV as the ERP Financial backbone for Dagrofa A/S, with EG Retail responsible for delivery and integration into retail POS, rostering and surveillance systems.

In 2024 Dagrofa A/S deployed Fiftytwo 52ViKING as a POS/self-checkout installation at MENY Bagsværd, initiating a pilot intended to scale across the MENY chain in Denmark. The implementation of 52ViKING targeted front-end checkout flexibility and aimed to reduce queuing by introducing unattended and assisted self-checkout options within store point-of-sale operations.
The deployment concentrated on core self-checkout functionality aligned with point-of-sale workflows, including customer-initiated scanning and payment, cashier-assisted exception handling, and configurable operational modes for peak and off-peak traffic. Configuration work focused on integrating 52ViKING into existing checkout layouts and staff workflows to preserve POS transaction continuity while enabling unattended SCO transactions and streamlined cashier interventions.
Operational scope covered store operations at MENY Bagsværd with a planned phased expansion across MENY stores in Denmark, affecting store operations, queue management, and front-line staffing models. Rollout governance followed a pilot-to-scale approach, using early operational observations to guide broader deployment, and early outcomes explicitly included improved checkout flexibility and reduced queuing at the pilot site.

In 2014, Dagrofa A/S implemented Stibo Systems Multidomain Master Data Management to strengthen procurement and centralise product information. Dagrofa, one of Denmark’s largest grocery retailers with more than 700 shops and stores nationwide, selected the STEP platform to consolidate high quality product master data and support procurement, category and campaign management.
As an Analytics and BI use case, Stibo Systems Multidomain Master Data Management was deployed with explicit PIM and MDM capabilities to provide a single source of critical information. The implementation focused on product information management and the management of supplier and customer master data domains, and included data governance workflows to create and maintain consistent master records.
The project integrated Stibo Systems MDM and PIM within Dagrofa’s existing IT landscape by the end of 2014, enabling consolidated data processes across procurement, category management, campaign management and e-commerce operations. Operational coverage targeted retail and distribution functions across Dagrofa’s nationwide store footprint and central procurement teams.
Governance was centralized to establish a single source of truth for product, supplier and customer information, with process changes to support ongoing master data stewardship and cross functional usage. The Stibo Systems Multidomain Master Data Management deployment was intended to boost procurement, category and campaign management by improving master data quality and enabling integrated supplier, customer and e-commerce data processes.
