| Australian Payments Plus | Legacy | eftPOS | Point Of Sale | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013 Daiso Australia implemented eftPOS as its payment processing application within the Point Of Sale environment, deploying eftPOS to handle in-store transaction authorization and tender management across its retail outlets. The implementation positioned eftPOS as the payment layer alongside the existing PCMS vision beanstore POS application, with eftPOS named explicitly as the application in use.
The eftPOS deployment included typical Point Of Sale payment processing capabilities, covering card transaction authorization, settlement workflows, and terminal provisioning at store level. Support and operational ownership for the eftPOS application were provided by the partner vendor QUEST, while Daiso Australia retained employee account management and operational control of point of sale user credentials.
Architecturally eftPOS operated within an on-premises retail stack that included Active Directory on Windows Server 2016 Datacenter and Windows Server 2012 for account and credential management, and an ERP footprint based on Microsoft GP with third party support from DWS. The eftPOS implementation was therefore aligned with finance and store operations processes, enabling transaction data to be managed alongside ERP driven financial reconciliation and store reporting workflows.
Governance for the rollout emphasized vendor supported application maintenance from QUEST and internal account governance by Daiso Australia, with operational responsibilities split between store operations for day to day terminal use and central finance for settlement and reconciliation processes. The narrative reflects eftPOS as the named payment application in a Point Of Sale category deployment, integrated operationally within Daiso Australia retail and finance functions.
