Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2011 2012
In 2011 Daiwa Capital Markets Europe implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its core ERP Financial solution for the European subsidiary of a global investment bank. The implementation was led by a business lead reporting to the CFO who provided business quality assurance through design, build, test and launch phases while authoring the data conversion strategy, training strategy and cutover plan. The deployment used Oracle Financials release 12.1.3 as the initial baseline with later upgrade activity to release 12.2.8. Functional configuration centered on the General Ledger and the Financial Accounting Hub module, with bespoke Oracle customisations to capture and manage P and L foreign exchange exposure, and an in-house P and L reporting, price testing and reconciliation solution developed for Product Control. Integration work included a direct feed from the upstream Inferno trade processing and accounting system into Oracle GL via the Financial Accounting Hub, and the extension of the core Oracle E-Business Suite implementation to support DC Advisory and Daiwa Capital Markets Deutschland as wholly owned subsidiaries. Operational coverage spanned Finance, Product Control, Operations, Regulatory Reporting, Credit Risk and Front Office teams across the European entity. Governance and rollout were structured around business-led project management and business analysis, with the business lead acting as project manager and providing expert QA while working closely with a third party implementer. Deliverables and process change artifacts included the data conversion plan, cutover playbook and training materials, and business analysis workstream outputs that reengineered multiple middle and back office accounting processes and methods. Subsequent program activity consolidated accounting and reconciliation capabilities for Futures and Options trading and introduced a monitoring solution to match individual trades to the firm Approved Product List within Oracle E-Business Suite. The Oracle E-Business Suite implementation remains positioned as the firmwide ERP Financial backbone for accounting, reconciliation and P and L control functions.

Oracle Legacy Oracle OBIEE Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2011 2011
In 2011, Daiwa Capital Markets Europe implemented Oracle OBIEE as a core Analytics and BI deployment to consolidate financial and trading reporting. The project targeted the firms finance and trading reporting workflows for the UK entity and centered on enterprise reporting and financial analytics capabilities provided by Oracle OBIEE. The implementation included work on the Financial Accounting Hub FAH to capture and normalize journal-based transactions, integration of Financial Analytics, and configuration of OBIEE Plus reporting layers. Oracle OBIEE was configured with subject areas and dashboards aligned to financial reporting, and the FAH was used to prepare journal records for posting into Oracle General Ledger and for consumption by OBIEE reporting. Integration work explicitly interfaced journal-based transactions from a Derivatives Trading System into Oracle General Ledger and into OBIEE Plus with Financial Analytics, supporting the firms end-to-end journal flow. ETL style feeds and data staging were implemented between FAH and the OBIEE repository to support reporting catalogs and to replicate Discoverer style financial reports. Governance focused on finance led validation of journal interfaces and alignment of reporting definitions to meet existing Discoverer reporting requirements as defined within a legacy 11i environment. Oracle OBIEE and Financial Analytics were used to meet those Discoverer reporting requirements while providing a structured reporting catalog and controls for ongoing finance and trading reporting operations.

Cisco Systems Legacy Cisco Webex Meetings Audio Video and Web Conferencing Collaboration n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Daiwa Capital Markets Europe implemented Cisco Webex Meetings as its primary web-facing conferencing platform. Cisco Webex Meetings is embedded on the company website and serves as the firm's deployed solution for Audio Video and Web Conferencing across its UK operations. Cisco Webex Meetings was configured to deliver standard category capabilities including multi-party audio, HD video, screen sharing, meeting recording, participant controls, and browser-based join flows. The deployment leverages meeting scheduling and host administration features common to Audio Video and Web Conferencing solutions, and the Cisco Webex Meetings product name is present in public site instrumentation. Operationally the implementation emphasizes external access via the corporate website to support client sessions as well as internal collaboration workflows. Administration and user provisioning are organized under centralized account controls to manage meeting hosts, access permissions, and meeting policy settings across the organization. Governance focuses on policy-driven meeting controls and centralized administration to govern usage across client-facing and internal meeting activity. The configuration choices prioritize web-embedded meeting access and standard conferencing controls provided by Cisco Webex Meetings rather than custom integration layers.
