The implementation includes administration of employee terms and conditions, annual leave calculations and entitlement tracking, and modules to support succession planning and performance management, plus workforce planning inputs for annual bonus and salary review cycles.
The deployment integrates with third party pre employment verification via Experian to administer CRB checks, and it establishes operational handoffs to payroll and recruitment teams to ensure pay related changes and eligibility checks are propagated. The COINS HCM installation is used to generate HR management information, producing monthly analytical reports such as employee turnover, absence and holiday reports for senior managers.
Governance was implemented through audit processes on employee HR records within COINS HCM, enforcement of the approval matrix for new starters and pay changes, and HR Business Partner oversight to ensure compliance with relevant UK employment legislation. Operational coverage centered on the divisional finance function with direct alignment to Commercial and Land teams, project teams and HR for payroll allocations and query resolution. The COINS ERP deployment supported cross functional workflows for budgeting inputs, cost variation meetings and the collation of information for Group reporting, providing a single source for financial and project data used by the Managing Director and Commercial Director.
Governance and process work streams were embedded alongside the technical deployment, including documentation of processes and controls, defined month end and variance commentary workflows, and clear ownership for external audit liaison. The Head of Finance and Divisional Chief Financial Officer roles were responsible for regional finance team development, enforcement of controls, and using COINS ERP outputs to inform risk and opportunity discussions with executive leadership.
