| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014, DATEV implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its core ERP Financial platform. The deployment was governed by DATEV's internal IT department, with the SAP team at the Nuremberg location taking operational responsibility for all SAP ERP 6.0 and SRM-supported processes within the cooperative.
The implementation centered on materials management and contract management workflows, with explicit application responsibility for the contract management system and connected MM processes. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured to support MM process customizing, user and authorization administration, and interface management tied to procurement and purchase-to-pay orchestration.
Integrations were built to support cloud applications used by SAP cooperation partners, explicitly including iCertis and BeNeering, with the SAP team managing interface points and the rollout of those cloud-connected contract management capabilities. The SAP team acted as the technical liaison between DATEV’s own development department, internal business units, and English-speaking developers from software manufacturers, maintaining continuous technical exchange.
Operational governance included application ownership for contract and MM processes, ongoing process analysis and identification of optimization potential in close cooperation with DATEV specialists and external consultants of the manufacturer. Day-to-day responsibilities comprised customizing the iCertis tool and affected MM processes, interface management, user support and authorization administration, and remote telephone support for internal users on technical issues.

| Hewlett Packard Enterprise | Legacy | HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric | ML and Data Science Platforms | AI Development | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, DATEV eG implemented HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric as a core component of its ML and Data Science Platforms estate. The Platform Engineer Big Data is listed as the functional owner of the HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric instance within the Analytics and Machine Learning ecosystem in Nürnberg, and also served as co PM for the GPUaaS initiative.
The HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric instance was provisioned to provide unified data access, scale out storage, dataset provisioning and metadata management to support model training and analytics workflows. Configuration and platform engineering focused on cluster provisioning, lifecycle management, access control and operational support for analytics pipelines.
The deployment integrated with HPE Container Platform and included a Bitfusion TKGS proof of concept to enable GPUaaS for accelerated model training, aligning data fabric storage with containerized compute and GPU resource orchestration. Operational coverage centered on DATEV analytics and machine learning teams, with the functional owner responsible for day to day instance operations and coordination of GPU resource usage.
Governance followed a functional owner model with co PM oversight for the GPUaaS initiative, formalizing platform responsibilities for access governance, workload scheduling and platform level control of datasets. The implementation emphasized platform stewardship and operational ownership within the Analytics and Machine Learning ecosystem rather than application level change.
