The deployment covered the corporate office and more than 13 plant and office locations across India, servicing approximately 400 ERP users within a 1,600+ employee organization and integrating with broader IT infrastructure supporting 2,000+ IT assets.
The Oracle E-Business Suite R12 configuration centered on core ERP Financial capabilities, with implementation emphasis on general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and financial close workflows, aligned to manufacturing accounting and statutory reporting needs. Configuration work included transactional validation and role based access control to support finance and accounting process flows, and the solution was positioned to support intercompany and plant to corporate financial consolidation processes.
Integrations were explicitly established between Oracle E-Business Suite and plant level systems, including Plant Application Info Plus 21, Star LIMS, ABB process control systems, ASPEN process engineering tools, Godrej ASRS warehouse automation, and VTS systems. These interfaces were implemented to exchange master data and transactional records between manufacturing, quality laboratories, automation systems and the central ERP, enabling synchronized material, batch and inventory visibility for finance and operations.
Governance and operational ownership rested with the Head of Information Technology Services, who managed project planning, budgeting, product road maps and rollback strategies for ERP and adjacent applications. Integration work established interfaces between Aspen InfoPlus.21 and Oracle EBS ERP R12, Star LIMS, ABB control systems, other Aspen systems, Godrej ASRS and VTS, enabling data flows for production orders, batch records, quality results and automated equipment status. Operational coverage included manufacturing operations, plant engineering, quality laboratories and the central IT service teams responsible for ongoing application support and incident management.
Governance and rollout included defined SLAs with suppliers and service providers, monthly MIS reporting to management, a mix of internal and outsourced support models, and explicit security and backup controls to protect proprietary and sensitive information. The IT organization mapped stakeholder requirements into technical solutions for ERP and plant applications and coordinated deployment sequencing and acceptance across sites.
