In 2015, Denali Group implemented ADP Payroll to automate and centralize its payroll processes. ADP Payroll was configured to process payroll for 80 to 130 employees operating across Washington, Alaska and Montana, and to handle multi-state payroll taxes, employee benefits administration, vacation accruals and the company 401k retirement program within the Payroll application scope.
The implementation encompassed core payroll calculation and tax withholding workflows, benefits administration and accrual tracking, and maintenance of employee records including CDL and DOT FMCSA driver files. ADP Payroll also supported HR operational tasks such as pre-hire screenings, onboarding packets and routine employee relations documentation consistent with Payroll and HR functional workflows.
Operational coverage included HR, accounting and operations teams, with payroll outputs used to support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities and monthly account reconciliations for multiple affiliated companies. Responsibility for all employee files and benefits was centralized in ADP Payroll, aligning payroll processing with driver compliance recordkeeping and routine financial reconciliation processes.
Governance was structured around centralized record management and established workflows for pre-hire requirements and screenings, hiring procedures and regulatory compliance for drivers. Denali Group moved to automated payroll with ADP Payroll in 2015, embedding Payroll processing into its HR and accounting operations and formalizing compliance handling for CDL and DOT FMCSA driver documentation.
