| FIS Global | Legacy | FIS GETPAID | AR Automation | ERP | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, Blick Art Materials implemented FIS GETPAID to formalize its AR Automation for corporate credit and collections. The 2011 deployment was part of a broader effort to document and enforce Corporate Credit and Collections Policies and Procedures and to centralize credit decisioning and recovery workflows under the Finance organization.
The FIS GETPAID implementation emphasized collections case management and credit evaluation capabilities, combined with structured reporting. Functional capabilities implemented included account level credit analysis using financial statement review, financial ratio assessment, and incorporation of external credit sources, along with collections queue management, account rehabilitation workflows, and weekly and monthly reporting to the Board of Directors and the CFO. The program also refined operational metrics to track collections staff performance, supporting supervision of a seven member collections team.
Operational coverage extended across credit, collections, finance, and sales collaboration, with ongoing credit and trends analysis of all credit accounts. The collections team worked closely with sales to rehabilitate poor performing accounts and to reduce exposure, integrating policy enforcement into day to day collections activity. Regular reporting and trend analysis were institutionalized to provide senior leadership visibility into receivables performance.
Governance changes included documented Corporate Credit and Collections Policies and Procedures and the introduction of systematic credit reviews for new accounts. Outcomes explicitly reported alongside the program include a reduction in days sales outstanding from 55 days in 2001 to 37 days currently, and an 84 percent reduction in bad debt write off expense from 2001 to the current period. Blick Art Materials used FIS GETPAID as the central AR Automation application to support these credit and collections business functions.
