The implementation emphasized close coordination with Finance departments and external vendors for support and supplies, while maintaining a constant presence in stores and other business units to support day to day operations. Governance and process changes included formal SOPs for the IT department, supervisory oversight of IT professionals, routine training and performance evaluation, and support availability planning. The technology and process controls were integrated into IT operational responsibilities, with the Director of IT and IT leadership overseeing project timelines, staff supervision, and cross functional relationship management with executive leadership such as the CEO, VPs, and directors.
