In 2021, DocuSign implemented YayPay by Quadient as its AR Automation solution. The deployment was executed within the Finance Technology Team under a dedicated Quote to Cash product owner, aligning the new AR Automation application to broader Oracle Cloud finance initiatives.
YayPay by Quadient was configured to support core accounts receivable workflows including collections orchestration, payment processing connectors, automated cash application and AR reconciliation tied to period close. Configuration emphasis included collections routing, aging and promise-to-pay workflows, and invoice presentment consistent with AR Automation functional patterns.
Integrations were explicit and material to the implementation, connecting YayPay to Oracle Subscription Billing OSS, Oracle Cloud Accounts Receivables, RevPro for revenue management, CyberSource as the payment service provider, and bank LockBox feeds for cash receipt processing. Oracle Cloud Products implemented in parallel included CDM, Oracle Subscription Billing OSS, Oracle Cloud Accounts Receivables, Oracle Cloud Financials and Oracle PIM, with RevPro integrated to support revenue accounting and reconciliation flows while YayPay integrated into collections orchestration.
Governance was centralized under the Lead Product Owner for Quote to Cash, creating a single finance product ownership model that coordinated AR workflow redesign, integration sequencing and period close dependencies. The implementation positioned YayPay by Quadient as the AR Automation hub within DocuSign's Quote to Cash architecture, interoperating with Oracle financial modules and payment and bank channels to support AR reconciliation and closing processes.

In 2020, DocuSign implemented Certinia PSA (ex FinancialForce PSA) to formalize Professional Services Automation across its ProServe organization as it outgrew homegrown approaches and needed greater rigor in ProServe financials. The initiative targeted project financial control and operational visibility to support growth in professional services revenue and partner engagement.
The Certinia PSA (ex FinancialForce PSA) deployment included Professional Services Automation, Billing Central, and PSA Communities, configured to support structured project planning, resource scheduling, time capture, and automated invoicing workflows. These modules were used to manage projects, tasks, and resource allocations in a single system of record so professional services, adoption consulting and training teams could track time and project status consistently.
Implementations were integrated with Salesforce to link opportunity and project data, and with DocuSign CLM to automatically create invoices, enabling earlier visibility into deals and accelerating customer onboarding. Operational coverage extended across ProServe, adoption consulting, training, finance, analytics, and partner-facing teams, and supported DocuSign’s international partner ecosystem established in 2018.
Governance and process changes centered on creating a single source of truth for project and financial data, shifting reporting and analytics consumption from ad hoc spreadsheets to real-time dashboards. The PSA Communities rollout was used to formalize partner engagement and invoicing workflows, while finance and analytics teams gained direct access to operational and financial metrics for downstream planning and review.
Documented outcomes from the deployment included 98% faster invoicing, avoidance of hiring four additional FTEs through automation, and access to real-time financial and operational metrics that reduced collections friction, errors, and customer inquiries. The Certinia PSA (ex FinancialForce PSA) implementation enabled DocuSign to centralize professional services operations and financial processes within the Professional Services Automation footprint.
