The CARET Legal implementation concentrated on core Legal Practice Management capabilities appropriate for a boutique transactional firm, including matter management, document management, time and billing, calendaring and docketing, client intake workflows and trust accounting. Configuration work emphasized matter-centric templates and document organization to support recurring real estate and estate planning transactions, with user-friendly interfaces to minimize administrative overhead for attorneys and staff. Rollout was executed firm-wide with an emphasis on an easy cutover and user adoption, and shareholder Jacob Cunningham described the migration as as easy and user-friendly as he could have hoped for. The move to CARET Legal was framed by the firm as a modernization decision intended to allow lawyers to focus on client problems and solutions rather than on infrastructure and local application management.
