In 2018, Dolce & Gabbana implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was provisioned as the company ERP Financial platform to centralize core finance, procurement, and inventory controls across corporate and warehouse functions.
The implementation configured finance modules alongside procurement and inventory management capabilities, and incorporated warehouse management workflows consistent with an ERP Financial deployment. Work included configuration of warehouse process controls, development of mobile device emulation procedures using Velocity software, and definition of functional analyses for new program development and existing program modifications within Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.
Operational integration emphasized existing Stealth400 and Logimoda ERP footprints, with explicit management of interfaces between company ERPs to support raw material and finished goods flows. The Information Systems Office retained ownership of interface lifecycle and warehouse hardware management while Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations became the central transactional engine for warehouse and finance record keeping.
Governance activities centered on drafting functional specifications, formalizing interface requirements, and converting warehouse-specific workflows into Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations processes. Change efforts were executed at the intersection of warehouse operations and IT, with the Information Systems Office leading functional analyses and procedural development to align warehouse execution, hardware lifecycle, and finance processes under the ERP Financial platform.
