The deployment focused on core financial management capabilities within SAP S/4 HANA, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial close and consolidated financial reporting, with native real-time analytics and transactional processing enabled by the in-memory SAP HANA engine. SAP S/4 HANA was configured to support end to end finance workflows and operational reporting, using the application suite's embedded analytics and finance functional taxonomy.
Architecturally the solution was delivered as a cloud-hosted SAP S/4 HANA environment running on SAP HANA, designed to exploit Du's network and cloud services for low-latency access to real-time transactional and analytical data. Operational scope emphasized Du's finance and accounting organization across the company in the United Arab Emirates, aligning finance, treasury and controllership functions on a single ERP Financial instance.
Governance and rollout centered on centralizing financial processes and establishing role based controls and operational monitoring for the SAP S/4 HANA environment. In 2022 du implemented NetCracker BSS/OSS as the cornerstone of its largest regional digital transformation program, initiating a platform migration to support a modern, stable operational environment. The NetCracker BSS/OSS deployment is explicitly aligned with the OSS/BSS category and is positioned to improve customer, product and channel experience across the organization.
Configuration work emphasized core OSS/BSS functional domains, including customer management and care workflows, product catalog and lifecycle management, order management and billing workflows, and assurance capabilities to address service interruptions and technical failures. The NetCracker BSS/OSS implementation was designed to enable new service launches and to deliver reliability and resilience required for next generation propositions.
The program was executed as a multi-vendor integration with Netcracker collaborating with Accenture, HPE, Arimac, Tata Consulting Services, Tech Mahindra and ATOS to provide systems integration, security and operational readiness. Integration effort focused on orchestration between BSS and OSS modules and on connecting channel and network operations to support end to end customer experience workflows across provisioning, assurance and billing.
Governance and rollout prioritized partner-led delivery, cross-functional coordination and operational handover to du, aligning program milestones with the opening of du’s Dubai Hills headquarters and national service continuity objectives. The implementation links NetCracker BSS/OSS and OSS/BSS capabilities directly to business functions including customer care, product management and network operations, with stated targets to improve time to market, customer engagement and to reduce service interruptions.
