In 2013 Dyslexia Action implemented Infor SunSystems as its core ERP Financial platform to centralize accounting and ledger operations within the finance function. The implementation focused on institutionalizing Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger workflows and establishing Infor SunSystems for month end processing and nominal posting across the organisation.
Infor SunSystems was configured to manage sales ledger activities including debtor management, statement generation and weekly debtors reporting, and sales ledger supervision. The system supported purchase ledger operations including supplier invoice coding, purchase order and delivery note matching, supplier account setup in SUN accounting system, and processing of accrual and prepayment journals for rents, purchase orders and professional costs.
The deployment included operational integrations with banking and payment channels, specifically uploading Lloyds Link bank statements into Infor SunSystems for automatic bank reconciliation and uploading manual payments and refunds to the Lloyds Link payment system as part of twice monthly supplier payment runs and remittance distribution. The broader finance landscape also referenced an import of data from an external CARE system into Sage Accounting as an adjacent data integration in the organisations accounting environment.
Governance and process changes were embedded alongside the technical implementation, with supervision of two Sales Ledger staff, enforcement of invoice authorisation limits, routine reconciliation of company credit card statements and posting of bank journal entries. Regular operational reporting was formalised, including weekly debtors reports to the Sales Ledger team and monthly creditor and debtor reports to the Finance Controller to support review and ongoing process adjustments.

In 2011, Dyslexia Action implemented Moodle LMS on its website. The Moodle LMS deployment addresses the organisation's Learning and Development requirements by centralizing e learning content and course delivery through dyslexiaaction.org.uk, providing a web accessible learning layer for staff, volunteers, and external learners across the United Kingdom.
Configuration emphasized standard Moodle LMS capabilities such as course management, user enrollment, assessment engines, and reporting, enabling structured curricula, completion tracking, and forum based learner engagement typical of Learning and Development platforms. Course content management, resource sequencing, quiz and assignment workflows, and learner progress dashboards were configured to support instructor led and self paced learning models.
Delivery is web hosted on the organisation site to enable public and authenticated access, aligning the application with online course distribution and learner self service. Role based access controls and administrative dashboards govern permissions, enrollments, and content publishing to separate instructor, administrator, and learner functions.
Governance practices focus on course administration, instructor role assignment, and periodic content review to maintain accessibility and curriculum relevance. Operational ownership is coordinated between the learning function and web operations to manage content updates, learner support, and ongoing configuration of the Moodle LMS.
