In 2013 EcoElectrica implemented Infor SunSystems as an ERP Financial solution. EcoElectrica is a natural gas based power generation company located in Peñuelas Puerto Rico, and the deployment targeted corporate finance and accounting for the plant and central finance operations.
The Infor SunSystems implementation used the latest release available at the time and focused on core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, multi currency accounting and financial reporting. Configuration emphasized localization for an Americanized Puerto Rico market and adaptation of the chart of accounts and accounting workflows to power generation industry requirements.
VisualK served as the implementation lead as an Infor Gold Partner, with TBL engaged as a Professional Partner contributing project resources and industry subject matter expertise. The project established integrations with multiple platforms to automate end to end financial processes and to connect plant transactional systems, procurement workflows and external banking channels.
Governance and rollout were organized as a joint effort between VisualK and EcoElectrica finance teams, with shared responsibility for configuration, testing and knowledge transfer, staged deployment across finance functions and training to operationalize automated financial workflows. The engagement expanded the implementers presence into the power generation sector and required flexible handling of US territory regulatory and reporting nuances.

In 2017 EcoElectrica deployed HxGN EAM from Hexagon as its Enterprise Asset Management platform, supported by system integrator VisualK. The implementation targeted the companys combined cycle power plant operations in Puerto Rico and was positioned to centralize maintenance and asset records for an organization of approximately 80 employees.
The HxGN EAM implementation emphasized core EAM capabilities, including a consolidated asset registry, preventive maintenance scheduling, corrective and predictive maintenance workflows, and a Permit to Work module that the maintenance team implemented to digitize work permits. The deployment included a mobile CMMS extension and structured job plans, checklists, and equipment-specific instructions to enforce work execution standards and to drive a reliability centered maintenance approach referenced by onsite engineers.
Operational coverage focused on Electrical and Instrumentation departments, outage planning and contractor supervision, and inventory control for parts and tools. Integrations were implemented for the mobile CMMS extension and internal inventory records, and the program aligned maintenance processes with regulatory and safety frameworks cited by staff such as ISO and OSHA related practices. Governance and rollout were led by internal maintenance and reliability engineers with VisualK providing implementation services, including configuration of workflows, asset hierarchies, and permit workflows.
The program narrative credits HxGN EAM with enabling a shift toward condition based maintenance practices, introduction of ultrasound and thermography tools within maintenance procedures, and development of backlog tracking tools that the team attributes to reduced work order backlog and lower reliance on corrective interventions.
