Peoplefone Legacy peoplefone SMS Collaboration Collaboration UPGREAT 2021 2021
In 2021, Edelweiss Air implemented peoplefone SMS as part of a broader peoplefone deployment that consolidated Collaboration and telephony and integrated with Microsoft Teams to secure 24/7 operational availability. The Swiss carrier engaged UPGREAT AG to install the solution, aligning the peoplefone platform and peoplefone SMS for operational messaging and unified calling inside Teams. The technical scope emphasized telephony integration with Microsoft Teams and message orchestration using peoplefone SMS, taking advantage of peoplefone published capabilities such as SMS Reminder and an SMS API to support automated operational notifications. Configuration work focused on centralized provisioning of collaboration users, messaging workflows for operational alerts, and Teams-native call handling to maintain continuous availability. Operational coverage targeted Edelweiss Air operational teams in Switzerland, consolidating collaboration and telephony for round the clock operational communications. Governance and rollout were delivered by UPGREAT AG under a flat rate commercial model, and the project delivered improved reliability and a predictable cost structure as reported.
