In 2009, Ehrmann implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to consolidate corporate finance operations. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured to deliver core financial functionality, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, and period-end financial closing orchestration. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts standardization, fiscal year variant setup, tax determination and automated posting rules, and implementation of financial period close workflows, together with master data governance for vendors, customers and fixed assets.
The implementation included integration points for transactional master and posting data, leveraging Netweaver integration services to orchestrate interfaces that carry procurement invoice postings and sales order related financial entries into the SAP ledger. Operational coverage centered on finance, accounting, controlling and shared services teams across Ehrmann legal entities in Germany, ensuring end-to-end accounting flows from operational transaction systems into the financial ledgers.
Rollout followed phased go-live waves across legal entities and accounting units, accompanied by centralized governance for chart of accounts, closing calendars and transport change control. Role based authorizations and segregation of duties controls were instituted within SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to enforce financial governance while SAP Netweaver 7.5 EHP8 provided the integration and application platform for ongoing ERP Financial operations.
