SAP Legacy SAP Travel and Expense Management Expense Management ERP n/a 2009 2009
In 2009, Electrabel implemented SAP Travel and Expense Management as its enterprise solution for Expense Management. The deployment established a centralized platform for capturing and routing travel and expense claims, with a focus on standardized approval controls and auditability across corporate finance and travel operations. The implementation included several BAdIs to extend out-of-the-box functionality, specifically to support enhanced performance management and bespoke travel expense validations. SAP Travel and Expense Management was configured for expense report capture, approval workflow orchestration, policy enforcement, per diem handling, and reconciliation workflows, with custom BAdIs used to implement additional validation logic, batch performance optimizations, and specialized posting controls. Operational governance emphasized centralized policy enforcement and controlled change management for ABAP enhancement artifacts, including transport sequencing and staged testing of BAdI changes before production activation. The effort aligned the Expense Management application with finance and travel business functions, embedding performance-oriented checks within the SAP Travel and Expense Management stack through the implemented BAdIs.

OpenText Legacy OpenText TeamSite Web Content Management Content Management n/a 2002 2002
In 2002, Electrabel implemented OpenText TeamSite as its Web Content Management platform. The engagement focused on establishing a TeamSite foundation responsible for centralized content operations and the infrastructure design that supports enterprise web publishing. The OpenText TeamSite deployment encompassed core Web Content Management capabilities, including content authoring, template and asset management, and publishing workflow orchestration. Implementation activities were led by a TeamSite infrastructure designer and a TeamSite projects integrator who configured repository structures, template libraries, and workflow automation consistent with corporate content governance. Operational coverage included production web content teams and cross functional expertise teams, with the implementation team writing production handbooks and installation procedures for operational teams. Ongoing responsibilities included assisting and troubleshooting issues with operational teams and other expertise teams, and maintaining the TeamSite foundation configuration and operational playbooks. Governance was formalized through the TeamSite foundation role which owned installation procedures, runbooks, and operational handover processes. Documentation and handbooks were created to codify deployment, support and change routines, enabling consistent operations and coordinated troubleshooting across Electrabel’s content and expertise teams.

SAP Legacy SAP CRM CRM CRM Logica 2007 2007
In 2007 Electrabel deployed SAP CRM as part of a broader New Retail Platform NRP to centralize customer engagement for its CRM operations. The implementation was delivered with Logica acting as prime contractor and executed by a joint Logica, Electrabel Business and Electrabel IT task force working to an immovable deadline. The deployment integrated SAP CRM with SAP IS-U and SAP Business Warehouse, providing tailored customer relationship management, billing and business reporting capabilities for the energy supply business. SAP CRM was configured to support standard CRM functional flows, while IS-U addressed industry specific utility billing and customer master management and Business Warehouse supplied consolidated reporting and analytics. Integration work focused on end to end data flows between CRM, IS-U and BW to ensure a single customer view, invoice generation and consolidated business reporting across the platform. Operational coverage explicitly spans Electrabel's entire four million customer base in Belgium, with the platform designed to run core customer lifecycle, billing and reporting processes. Governance and rollout were managed by the combined Electrabel and Logica task force, which designed, implemented and brought NRP live to meet the fixed delivery schedule. The program combined business and IT governance to align configuration, testing and cutover activities across domains. Today the New Retail Platform handles all Electrabel customer relationship management, billing and business reporting for the full customer base, and is described as the largest integrated SAP CRM, IS-U and Business Warehouse solution in the world by number of customers.
