In 2018, ElringKlinger deployed Insightsoftware IDL Konsis for Financial Consolidation and Close. The globally active automotive supplier implemented Insightsoftware IDL Konsis to centralize consolidation, planning and management reporting across its finance organization.
The implementation consolidated reporting data from 45 sites in 20 countries into a central finance instance, ensuring the central finance department has reporting data available at all times and enabling flexible control of a transparent reporting process. Modules and configuration emphasized group consolidation, planning workflows and management reporting capabilities to support period close and board level reporting.
Architecturally the deployment followed a centralized consolidation model, with a consolidation engine and orchestration layer managing sequence control, data collection and validation from site reporting teams. Typical Financial Consolidation and Close capabilities such as intercompany elimination logic, currency translation and consolidation sequence orchestration were applied to standardize group close and planning cycles.
Operational scope encompassed central finance and site level reporting teams across 20 countries, with standardized data collection and validation workflows introduced to enforce governance during close. The Insightsoftware IDL Konsis rollout delivered centralized orchestration of reporting cycles and flexible controls for transparent management reporting.
