In 2019, Elsewedy Electric migrated Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud ERP on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Elsewedy Electric implemented Oracle Cloud ERP, an ERP Financial application, to address insufficient performance and scalability from its on premises ERP, EPM, and remote monitoring workloads that supported IIoT and strict project and financial controls.
The implementation consolidated multiple customized E-Business Suite instances into a centralized Oracle Cloud ERP environment, standardizing financial reporting and project lifecycle management capabilities. Elsewedy provisioned Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse for financial, supply chain, and remote monitoring data and used Oracle Analytics Cloud to drive forecasting, KPI analytics, and sustainable sourcing analysis. The company also migrated Hyperion EPM planning and consolidation processes to the cloud and moved its on premises Oracle HR system to a public cloud talent acquisition and management system to centralize people and finance workflows.
Architecturally the deployment was based on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with the migration executed using Oracle Cloud Lift Services and Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager to move E-Business Suite as is with no downtime. Oracle Integration Cloud Service and OCI Data Integration were used to unify six highly customized E-Business Suite instances and create canonical data flows into Autonomous Database and Oracle Analytics Cloud. Elsewedy also spun up an alternate disaster recovery site on OCI to complement on premises backup and recovery and to support continuous operations under OCI security and automated database provisioning.
Operational coverage targeted finance, supply chain, project controls, and remote monitoring across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Governance emphasized unifying group KPIs and standardizing consolidation and reporting to deliver financial statements online across more than 100 subsidiaries. The integrated Oracle Cloud ERP, Autonomous Data Warehouse, and Oracle Analytics Cloud environment enabled drilling from IIoT and ERP data into procurement and manufacturing procedures to inform sustainable sourcing.
Elsewedy reported explicit outcomes tied to the migration, including a 30% increase in performance and a 30% reduction in total cost of ownership after migrating E-Business Suite to OCI, together with the ability to scale as the business grew. Oracle Cloud Lift Services was cited as a factor in achieving a smooth and rapid transition during the initial use case.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016, Elsewedy Electric went live with Oracle Cloud HCM, executing a five-month enterprise deployment across more than 80 legal entities within the 19,000-employee manufacturing group. The rollout positioned Oracle Cloud HCM as the centralized Core HR application to consolidate global employee master records and standardize HR administration as the company expanded its international footprint.
The implementation focused on Core HR functional modules typical of the application class, including employee records management, organizational management, position and job structures, workforce directory, and standard HR transactional workflows for hires, transfers, and separations. Configuration emphasized role-based security and delegated HR tasks to local HR teams while preserving centralized data governance and a single source of truth for headcount and organizational structures.
Program governance and rollout execution were led by Eng. Abdel Aziz Kamel, Elsewedy CIO, who coordinated corporate HR and country HR leads to align processes and cutover activities across entities. The project framed Oracle Cloud HCM as the enterprise Core HR platform, establishing operating procedures for ongoing HR administration and cross-entity consistency in core personnel data.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Analytics Cloud | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2022 | 2023 |
In 2022 Elsewedy Electric deployed Oracle Analytics Cloud as part of a broader migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, positioning Oracle Analytics Cloud within its Analytics and BI stack to centralize enterprise reporting and KPI tracking. The implementation was executed alongside a lift of Oracle E-Business Suite workloads to OCI, and provisioning of Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse to host financial, supply chain, and remote monitoring data used for analytics and forecasting across the group.
The deployment configured Oracle Analytics Cloud to connect to Autonomous Database instances, enabling self-service reporting, KPI dashboards, and analytics workloads aligned to finance and project lifecycle management. Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse was provisioned as the analytical repository for IIoT and EBS data, supporting data modeling, aggregation, and query performance for forecasting and sustainability analysis.
Integrations included Oracle Integration Cloud Service to unify multiple highly customized E-Business Suite instances, and OCI Data Integration to consolidate six EBS instances into unified data flows and group KPIs. The project also moved on-premises Oracle HR to a public cloud talent acquisition and management system, and migrated Hyperion EPM planning and consolidation to provide online financial statements across roughly 100 subsidiaries. An alternate disaster recovery site was provisioned on OCI to complement on-premises backup and recovery procedures and support continuous operations.
Governance and process changes focused on establishing a single informational ecosystem and centralized ERP operations, improving financial controls and project management workflows across manufacturing, engineering and construction, and procurement functions. Oracle Cloud Lift Services and Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager were used to perform the EBS migrations with minimal disruption, supporting a controlled cutover and standardized configuration across sites spanning the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.
Results reported by Elsewedy include an immediate 30 percent increase in application performance after migrating E-Business Suite to OCI, and a 30 percent reduction in total cost of ownership through elimination of on-premises infrastructure costs. Oracle Analytics Cloud provided improved business visibility into sustainable sourcing and supply chain carbon footprint, enabling the company to drill into procurement and manufacturing procedures for global operations.
