In 2012 eLUXE implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial platform to centralize accounting and retail inventory financial workflows. The deployment positioned Oracle NetSuite ERP as the primary financial application for transaction posting, ledger maintenance, and period close processes within the company.
The implementation concentrated on standard ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, fixed asset accounting, bank reconciliation, and inventory valuation tied to cost of goods sold. Configuration work focused on a chart of accounts suitable for retail merchandising and on transaction mappings that link point of sale and inventory movements to financial postings.
The solution was delivered as a cloud hosted Oracle NetSuite ERP instance configured for a small retail organization, with operational coverage across corporate finance, purchasing, inventory management, and merchandising functions in Canada. Deployment architecture followed a single instance model appropriate for a 30 person retailer, with role based access and user provisioning scoped to finance and operations teams.
Governance centered on a designated finance system owner responsible for accounting period close controls, configuration change management, and maintenance of financial workflows and permissioning. Operational rollout emphasized staged configuration of accounting modules first, followed by inventory financialization, with documented processes for chart of accounts stewardship and month end reconciliation routines.
