In 2019, Elwyn implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to centralize its finance back office. The deployment targeted core financial operations and is classified as ERP Financial, with a primary emphasis on accounts payable and electronic approval workflows.
The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation configured financial capabilities to enable a paperless accounts payable environment and electronic workflow approval, shifting invoice processing and approval to an automated electronic process. Elwyn executed the program under an executive project director in partnership with an implementation team from Grant Thornton, and delivered staff training and development across the finance back office throughout the following year. ADP also served as the escalation path for IRS correspondence, with Elwyn routing penalty notices to ADP for investigation and response.
Governance changes shifted the benefits team from manual counting to oversight and exception management, with an account team supporting year-end processes and regulatory interactions. Outcomes cited include elimination of two IRS employer-shared responsibility payment penalties totaling $10,000, a significant reduction in manual hours spent on ACA calculations, and improved precision and accuracy in ongoing Benefits Administration and compliance reporting using ADP Benefits and the ADP SmartCompliance Health Compliance module.
