In 2017 Emery Little implemented Sage Business Cloud Accounting (formerly Sage One) as the primary ERP Financial application to transition company administration from paper to electronic formats and to future proof core finance operations. The implementation was scoped for a small UK financial services practice of about 30 employees and focused on centralizing bookkeeping and credit control processes while preserving existing customer service workflows.
Sage Business Cloud Accounting was configured to support core accounting and finance functions, including general ledger bookkeeping, invoicing and accounts receivable workflows, basic accounts payable processing, VAT handling, and reconciliations consistent with ERP Financial practice capabilities. Payroll processing was run in concert with Intelligent Office, with accounting entries and credit control workflows routed through Sage Business Cloud Accounting to maintain unified financial records.
Operational coverage extended across administration, compliance, HR, health and safety administration, credit control, and accountancy functions, with a practice manager overseeing a small team and monitoring workflow and task management. The deployment followed a gradual rollout from paper to electronic records, reflecting an incremental adoption approach rather than a big bang switch, and leveraged the cloud-native delivery model of Sage Business Cloud Accounting for centralized access and remote administration.
Governance and process changes emphasized compliance, HR and health and safety policy management, and formalized task monitoring to support consistent customer interactions. The combined use of Sage Business Cloud Accounting and Intelligent Office supported the stated objective of facilitating excellent customer service and relationships while streamlining administrative and financial routines.
