In 2019, Emilio’s Coffee implemented Zettle by PayPal as its Point Of Sale solution across two café sites in Tunbridge Wells and Forest Row. The deployment addressed a small, 10-person leisure and hospitality operator with an eight-person shift team, centralizing payments, transaction capture, and sales recording at the point of sale.
Configuration emphasized core Point Of Sale capabilities typical for a café environment, including card payments, sales capture, basic inventory tracking and end-of-day reconciliation using Zettle by PayPal terminal and app functions. The Zettle by PayPal implementation was coordinated alongside Rekki for supplier ordering workflows and Deputy for payroll and staff scheduling, aligning sales activity with ordering and workforce rotas. Operational governance included a site-level rollout, staff training and development programs, and daily rota management to embed new checkout and ordering workflows, with the stated objective of improving company dynamics and supporting front-of-house, finance, and inventory processes.
