In 2021, Energo implemented AvidUtility from AvidXchange for Utilities Customer Care and Billing to automate accounts payable and payment workflows. The deployment targeted the finance accounts payable function within Energo's United States operations at a 600 employee oil gas and chemicals company.
Implementation work focused on accounts payable automation, electronic payment execution and supplier payment workflow orchestration inside AvidUtility, with configuration to capture invoices, route approvals and manage payment runs. The configuration emphasized AP processing and payment orchestration capabilities consistent with Utilities Customer Care and Billing platforms adapted for back office finance workflows.
The solution was embedded into Energo's AP and payment workflows, connecting invoice intake, approval routing and payment settlement and touching finance and procurement functions. Operational coverage remained on US finance teams and supplier-facing processes, improving consistency in supplier communications and payment cadence.
Outcomes reported by Energo included a reduction in invoice processing time from over 50 days to roughly 24 hours and improved supplier relationships tied to faster payments and clearer workflows. Energo implemented AvidUtility, a Utilities Customer Care and Billing application, to serve its accounts payable business function.
