In 2018, ENGIE North America implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its core ERP Financial platform for North American business units. ENGIE North America SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial workstreams included configuration of master data, chart of accounts harmonization, period close orchestration and automated posting rules consistent with corporate accounting processes.
The technical footprint included managed database servers and application servers with an integration layer of customized interfaces connecting SAP S/4 HANA to Concur, Microsoft Dynamics SL Solomon, JDEdwards, SAP BOFC Cartesis, ICMS and IBM GERS. Interfaces were implemented as a mix of web and Windows applications and ETL utilities using SSIS and SSRS patterns, with PGP encryption for secure transaction exchange between business units and banks.
Governance and operations were staffed through an application management and advisory model starting April 2018 and continuing in production support.
