In 2009, EP Energy Trading implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support ERP Financial operations and consolidate economic and trade agendas. The deployment targeted finance, asset accounting, controlling, and customer accounting as primary business functions for the new SAP ERP ECC 6.0 environment.
The project delivered core SAP economic modules including FI, AA, CO and the industry suite SAP IS-U / CCS, together with FI-CA Customer Portal and the DMS platform EMC 2 Documentum. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured to handle financial accounting, asset accounting, cost controlling, contract and billing lifecycle, and customer receivables within a unified ERP Financial structure.
Architecturally the implementation was executed as an on premise SAP ERP ECC 6.0 landscape integrated with EMC 2 Documentum for document management, enabling transaction level document storage and retrieval linked to financial records. The FI-CA Customer Portal was integrated with SAP IS-U / CCS to synchronize contract, billing and customer account data using SAP interface patterns and content services for attached documentation. Itelligence served as the system integrator responsible for configuration, interface development, and deployment orchestration.
Operational scope covered finance, controlling, asset management and customer service teams, aligning trade and economic processes to the ERP Financial platform. Governance adjustments included centralized financial master data and standardized billing and document retention workflows implemented alongside phased module activation and training led by itelligence.

Integration work included configuration of interfaces to support billing processes and document archival workflows between the ERP financial modules and the document management layer.
Operational scope covered finance, accounting, billing, customer service and trade operations, with governance instituted for master data, billing cycles, and document lifecycle management. The rollout emphasized process alignment across economic and trade functions and centralized use of the FI-CA Customer Portal and EMC 2 Documentum for operational governance.
