In 2017, EPA, Region 4 adopted permitting and e-reporting workflows developed by CGI through the NPDES Electronic Reporting Tool NeT, delivering initial Construction General Permit CGP and Multi-Sector General Permit MSGP functionality under the Clean Water Act. These program-level implementations informed CGI OverCite in the Permitting and Licensing category, positioning the vendor platform for licensing, permitting, and inspections use cases in the federal and regional environmental permitting space.
The implementation delivered core modules for permit application intake, electronic reporting, permit issuance workflows and renewal processing, with the initial configuration focused on CGP and MSGP workflows. CGI OverCite builds on that foundation to provide Licensing, Permitting, Inspections LPI capabilities and reusable services, including standardized e-reporting and workflow orchestration consistent with Permitting and Licensing solutions.
Operational coverage centered on EPA, Region 4 and expanded to support multiple workflows across regions and states, enabling reuse of common services and reporting components. The rollout was staged, beginning with CGP and MSGP in 2017 and expanding to additional permitting workflows thereafter, and documented outcomes included faster electronic permit workflows and reusable services for regions and states.
