| SAP | Legacy | SAP Business One | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 ePLDT implemented SAP Business One as its ERP Financial application to centralize billing, revenue management and core accounting across its 600 person Professional Services operations in the Philippines. The SAP Business One deployment focused on consolidating transactional financial controls and establishing a single source for revenue and billing data used by finance and sales leadership.
The implementation included configuration of financial modules and billing templates, finalization of master data such as revenue general ledger accounts and customer records, and data conversion with reconciliation of opening balances. Functional capabilities implemented included accounts receivable processing, journal entry posting, revenue accruals and recognition workflows, site level P and L reporting, and systematic computation of sales commissions and incentives.
Operationally the SAP Business One rollout was coordinated with Sales Operations, Project Managers, Relationship Managers, the General Accountant function, PAM and Collections to align billing workflows and dispute resolution. Integration in this context was expressed as operational handoffs and validated transactional processing between billing, sales and collections teams rather than named technical middleware integrations.
Governance and process changes accompanying the ERP Financial implementation emphasized month on month and year on year variance analysis for nominal accounts, a standardized monthly ICT monitoring revenue report, lead schedule reviews for financial statement notes and structured review of billing statements and journal vouchers. The program also instituted coordination rituals for commission payouts and contract renewal reviews, and provided audit support processes and end user training to embed new controls and workflows.
Explicit outcomes recorded during and after the SAP Business One implementation include leading the clean up of trade receivables, consolidation of invoices which improved collection efficiency and accelerated transaction recording in the SAP Business One system, identification of additional billable service inventory that generated incremental billings of P50M, and development of timely monthly revenue reporting used by management. The implementation team also completed system configuration, transactional testing, master data finalization and user training as part of the SAP Business One deployment.

In 2018, ePLDT deployed Intuit Mailchimp to establish a Marketing Automation presence on its corporate website. The implementation positioned Intuit Mailchimp as the primary email marketing and audience management engine for client communications and lead nurturing across web driven channels. This deployment focused on embedding subscription capture on site pages and delivering scheduled campaigns from the Mailchimp environment.
Configuration work centered on email campaign management, audience segmentation, subscription form embedding, and automated customer journeys within Intuit Mailchimp. The team configured templates, campaign scheduling, automation workflows, and list hygiene processes to support recurring newsletters and targeted sequences. Standard Marketing Automation terminology such as audiences, segments, automation workflows, templates, and reporting was operationalized in the platform.
Integration architecture was based on website embedded signup forms and tracking scripts that synchronized captured leads directly to Intuit Mailchimp audience lists. Operational ownership was assigned to marketing and client services, who managed campaign creation, segmentation rules, and subscriber management. The implementation scope remained focused on digital marketing activities delivered through the corporate website.
Governance emphasized campaign approval workflows, role based access to audience segments, and scheduled maintenance of subscription lists to preserve data hygiene and consent management. Rollout followed an incremental adoption model with marketing users absorbing platform capabilities and process controls instituted to manage campaign cadence and subscriber consent.
