MicroStrategy Legacy MicroStrategy ONE Analytics Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2013 2018
In 2013, Epson implemented MicroStrategy ONE Analytics as its Analytics and BI platform to standardize enterprise reporting and dashboarding across global sales areas. Epson Seiko Corporation is a product-based manufacturer of printers, scanners, watches, computer peripherals and projectors, and the MicroStrategy ONE Analytics deployment supported commercial and business reporting workflows across the organization. The implementation centered on MicroStrategy Desktop, MicroStrategy Web, MicroStrategy Administration, and the Intelligence Server, with schema objects created through MicroStrategy Architect. Teams built attributes, facts, and a metadata repository, and authored Metrics including conditional, transformational, dimensional, and compound metrics, Filters, Prompts, Templates and customized Custom Groups. The project produced complex analytical reports such as Market Basket analysis, dynamic dashboards with multiple data sets, Report Services Documents, and personalized documents enhanced via XSL sheets, and Intelligent Cubes were created to accelerate data retrieval. The architecture integrated with MS SQL Server and Windows Server infrastructure, and the project worked with a Netezza DBA team to optimize query performance for warehouse tables. Transformations such as Last Month to This Month were implemented along with transformation tables, and dynamic sourcing and Intelligent Cubes were used to manage query patterns against the warehouse. Administrator tools including Project Merge and Object Manager were used to promote objects across environments, and MicroStrategy technical support was engaged to resolve web prompt display and report issues. Governance and delivery practices included translating business requirements into technical specifications, performing ETL coordination, user acceptance testing and system testing on warehouse tables and reports, and creating statistical tables and an Intelligence Server project via the Configuration Wizard. The deployment standardized ad-hoc reporting by enabling dynamic prompt answers and reusable templates for end users, and document and dashboard templates were configured to reflect company branding and yearly performance views. Operationally explicit outcomes included improved report performance through VLDB property tuning, caching, and Intelligent Cubes, and targeted SQL optimization work with the Netezza DBA team to reduce query latency. MicroStrategy ONE Analytics was the central Analytics and BI system within this scope, supporting ongoing report development, performance tuning, and enterprise reporting governance.

Joomla Legacy Joomla 3.9 Web Content Management Content Management n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Epson implemented Joomla 3.9 as its Web Content Management platform to consolidate corporate web properties and support marketing and product information delivery. The adoption of Joomla 3.9 provided a single application foundation for content publication across the company website and associated marketing pages. The implementation centered on core Web Content Management capabilities, using Joomla 3.9 for content authoring and publishing, template-driven theming, media asset management, content versioning and scheduling, and role-based access controls. The deployment also leveraged the Joomla extension framework to enable modular feature extensions and configured URL routing and metadata controls aligned with publishing workflows. Operational coverage focused on corporate sites and marketing microsites, with primary business functions impacted including marketing, product management, and corporate communications. The CMS was provisioned as a centralized instance to manage multiple site sections, enabling consistent templates and content models across Epson web properties. Governance was established around role-based editorial workflows and staged approval processes, supported by contributor training and a phased site-by-site rollout approach. Configuration emphasis was on maintainable template structures, permission governance, and operational processes for ongoing content operations within the Joomla 3.9 environment.
