In 2019, EQT Group implemented Rydoo Expense (ex Xpenditure) as its Expense Management application to standardize expense reporting and approvals across the firm. The deployment was driven by finance leadership with a mandate to increase efficiency, establish global standard processes and improve quality and speed in reporting.
Rydoo Expense (ex Xpenditure) was configured to support core Expense Management workflows including employee receipt capture, automated expense reporting, multi-level approvals and finance reporting. The implementation work included defining a common structure of masterdata objects to secure a complete masterdata management structure, aligning expense attributes with finance reporting and cost allocation needs. Configuration emphasized enforceable approval paths and audit-ready reporting consistent with corporate finance controls.
Scope of the roll-out covered EQT Group finance teams as a group-wide roll-out to enforce standardized processes and scalable control models. The finance project team defined a new financial model for EQT Group to increase control, transparency and scalability, embedding expense policy rules and approval sequencing into the Expense Management application. Operational coverage prioritized finance operations and accounts payable upstream requirements.
As part of the program EQT set the requirement for a new AP approval engine with a new front-end application to complement Rydoo Expense (ex Xpenditure). Governance changes included standardized approval workflows, masterdata governance rules and centralized process ownership within finance, supporting consistent reporting and control across the group.

| Snowflake | Legacy | Snowflake Data Warehouse | Data Warehouse | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, EQT Group implemented Snowflake Data Warehouse to enable an agile data architecture that supports investment decisioning and active ownership workflows. EQT Group uses Snowflake Data Warehouse, a Data Warehouse, to store and analyze large volumes of internal and external data and to give executives near real-time access to the data that drives business conversations.
The deployment centers on a persistent data lake in Snowflake where source data is landed without transformation, using an ELT pattern. Transformations are implemented as views rather than physical migrations, and data products are built on those views, enabling iterative changes to the logical data model sprint by sprint and allowing small, domain-focused teams to own specific data domains.
EQT integrates Fivetran as the data ingestion pipeline to populate the persistent layer in Snowflake, and Snowflake is used alongside data catalog providers to surface metadata and governance controls. Snowflake Data Warehouse capabilities such as dynamic data masking are used to tag personally identifying information, enforce masking for GDPR compliance, and produce access logs that can be queried to respond to auditor requests.
Governance is organized around data owners who tag and document data, maintain the data catalog, and provide trust signals for users across the business. Executives at EQT leverage the Snowflake Data Warehouse to run live data stories in meetings without slide preparation, and the program intentionally targeted high-frustration users to drive adoption through repeated iteration and focused productivity improvements.
