In 2020, Equinix implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as part of a broader adoption of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle EPM, and Oracle CX. The engagement is recorded under the ERP Financial category and explicitly targeted replacement of Oracle E-Business Suite applications to centralize finance operations.
Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to deliver core ERP Financial functionality including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and integrated financial close workflows, with Oracle EPM handling planning and consolidated financial reporting. The implementation emphasized automation to eliminate manual data entry and to simplify critical finance and go-to-market processes, providing new functionality for Equinix finance teams responsible for billing and revenue processes.
Integrations were planned between Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle EPM, and Oracle CX to align financial planning, customer facing order management, and reporting while decommissioning Oracle E-Business Suite components. Governance focused on standardizing finance workflows across Equinix’s global data center operations, reducing manual handoffs, and enabling more automated transaction processing and consolidated financial reporting for the finance and go-to-market functions.

In 2017, Equinix implemented OnitX ELM as its enterprise Legal Practice Management application to consolidate matter intake, matter lifecycle management, eBilling, document handling, workflow ticketing, and reporting for the global legal organization. The deployment of OnitX ELM was positioned under the Global Legal Operations and Strategic Services function and aligned to the legal technology roadmap managed by GLOSS.
Configuration work focused on core Legal Practice Management capabilities including centralized matter management, eBilling controls and validations, document management linking for legal files, configurable workflow and ticketing for legal requests, and reporting dashboards for portfolio visibility. Implementation included configuration of role based access and matter lifecycle automation consistent with enterprise legal management practices, and delivery of user documentation and project accelerators to support adoption.
The OnitX ELM deployment was integrated into the legal technology stack, with stated proficiency and interoperability considerations for ServiceNow, iManage, and OneTrust, and with connectors to eBilling and reporting workflows as part of the broader solution architecture. Integration efforts emphasized cross functional impacts and required coordination with IT and cross functional counterparts to preserve record, compliance, and intake continuity across systems.
Governance and rollout were organized through the GLOSS PMO and the Digital Legal function, using defined project management ways of working, global stakeholder prioritization, and the GLOSS Change Management Office to drive adoption. The implementation was scoped to support Equinix One Legal operating model across multiple continents, with ongoing prioritization of enhancements through backlog management, executive sponsor engagement, and program level reporting.
