In 2018, Ergo Insurance implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its core ERP Financial application. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment targeted S/4 Finance capabilities, with the Universal Journal specifically highlighted in project documentation and noted as entering production in August 2017 as part of the broader program.
The implementation concentrated on finance modules typical of the ERP Financial category, including the Universal Journal consolidation layer, unified general ledger processing, financial accounting and controlling configuration, and support for period close sequencing and statutory reporting workflows. SAP S/4 HANA was configured to centralize financial master data and to support group level accounting practices consistent with a template driven finance model.
Operational coverage centered on group systems and the finance function, with the program described as having cross-departmental impact and a global delivery focus. Project governance was managed through dedicated project managers in the area of group systems, using a mix of classic and agile IT project approaches to coordinate template rollouts and to align finance process owners across affected units.
Governance and rollout emphasized a global template approach for SAP S/4 HANA Finance, coordinated by project management resources experienced with SAP ERP and S/4 HANA Finance workstreams. The program documentation records phased delivery activity, culminating in the Universal Journal and S/4 Finance on HANA database going into production in August 2017, and ongoing template governance to sustain group level financial process alignment.

In 2014, Ergo Insurance implemented Times HRIS as its Core HR platform for its Singapore subsidiary, ERGO Insurance Pte Ltd. The deployment addressed full spectrum HR operations for a roughly 70 employee firm, centralizing employee master data, payroll processing, leave management, recruitment workflows and HR reporting under Times HRIS.
Times HRIS was configured to support core functional modules aligned with Core HR expectations, including local payroll processing, CPF contribution handling, IRAS submission workflows and IR21 tax clearance support, employee data maintenance, leave and benefit administration, recruitment tracking and training administration. The implementation included configuration of report templates used for monthly HR reports and MOM manpower surveys, and the system was used to generate appointment letters and manage personnel files.
Operational scope focused on the HR and Admin function, with the HR team using Times HRIS for end to end payroll, work pass administration for EP and SP holders, exit clearances, and benefits administration such as flexi benefits and health insurance records. Vendor engagement with Times Software was defined for ongoing system enquiries and maintenance, and processes were documented to route HR queries and payroll exceptions through the HR administrator workflow.
Governance aspects emphasized procedural workflows rather than platform architecture, with Times HRIS incorporated into routine HR controls for payroll accuracy, leave reconciliation and statutory reporting. The implementation standardized HR process handoffs for recruitment, onboarding, payroll submission and compliance related tasks, and Times HRIS served as the single system of record for employee data and HR administrative processes.
