DataRails Financial Close was configured to manage multiple budget versions imported from spreadsheets, enable period-to-period and actuals versus budget comparatives on demand, and provide account-level drill down and built check totals to validate balances during the close process. Operationally the solution is used by Euclid’s finance team for monthly close, multicurrency consolidations, and IFRS to US GAAP bridging, where the same account is mapped to different rollup groupings within a lookup table to support alternate presentations. The implementation workflow emphasizes simple data ingestion of trial balances and budget uploads, on-the-fly comparative reporting, and rapid reconciliation using drill-down to base accounts. Governance and process changes were limited to finance centric close procedures, with the team adopting a cadence of loading TBs, entering FX rates, validating check totals, and producing consolidated outputs. Euclid reported materially faster validation during close, reducing the monthly foreign currency conversion and consolidation validation from roughly a day to approximately an hour, and the CFO characterized DataRails Financial Close as the easiest consolidation tool he had worked with. |
