Actionstep Legacy Actionstep Legal Practice Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2024 2024
In 2024, Fairmax Law implemented Actionstep as its Legal Practice Management platform to centralize matter lifecycle and client engagement for the 50-person Detroit bankruptcy firm. The cloud-based Actionstep deployment consolidated case intake, matter management and document automation into a firm-wide system of record for bankruptcy workflows and post-discharge client follow up. Actionstep was configured with matter templates, workflow automation, calendaring, task orchestration, document assembly and time and billing modules to formalize the firm’s established policy of prompting discharged clients to pull their credit report 30 to 60 days after discharge, enabling staff to capture and review records that may support Fair Credit Reporting Act claims. Rollout targeted the bankruptcy practice with role-based access controls, systematic staff training on FCRA follow-up procedures, and standard operating procedures for client portal driven self-service requests and attorney review, with audit trails preserved in Actionstep for subsequent case work.
