In 2015, FieldAware implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to centralize core accounting and financial operations. FieldAware implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial platform to support companywide finance and accounting functions for the professional services business.
The implementation configured standard ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, fixed asset accounting, tax and financial reporting. Configuration emphasized transaction level controls, chart of accounts design, and automated invoice generation workflows to streamline period close activities. The Oracle NetSuite ERP deployment used role based controls and configurable approval chains consistent with an ERP Financial implementation.
Operational coverage targeted finance and billing teams and extended to operational feeds from field service activities such as time capture and service billing, consolidating those revenue streams into a single financial ledger. The project standardized financial data and centralized transactional processing to enable consistent financial reporting across the business. Interfaces were scoped to bring field operations transactional detail into the accounting layer for invoicing and revenue accounting.
Governance workstreams included chart of accounts rationalization, definition of month end close procedures, segregation of duties through role based access and audit trail configuration. Rollout followed a phased onboarding approach across finance and operations with configuration locked for financial period controls before full transactional cutover. Documentation and process mapping were established to sustain operational accounting and control under the Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial deployment.
