| ReconArt | Legacy | ReconArt Financial Close Management | Financial Consolidation and Close | EPM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Fiesta Insurance implemented ReconArt Financial Close Management to automate bank account reconciliations and support rapid franchise growth. The deployment addressed high-volume reconciliation needs within the Financial Consolidation and Close category as Fiesta scaled from roughly 50 storefronts and planned coverage for over 100 store bank accounts.
ReconArt Financial Close Management was configured to execute automated transaction matching, configurable data mapping and match rule engines, and integrated exception management. Business users at Fiesta configured new processes with spreadsheet level skills, reducing reliance on IT for rule changes and mapping.
The solution was deployed in the cloud and is managed by ReconArt, with the application hosted for Fiesta Head Office operational control. It ingests electronic bank feeds from Wells Fargo, Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase and reconciles those feeds against data exported from Fiesta’s internally developed management information system. Implementation was completed in a matter of weeks.
Operational scope included daily reconciliation of trust bank accounts, matching franchisee deposits and payments to insurance carriers, and consolidation of bank accounts nationwide. As a direct result of the implementation Fiesta reduced active bank accounts to twelve, consolidated three California accounts into one, and the largest account now processes upwards of 70,000 transactions monthly. Staff involvement in reconciliations declined from five to 4.5 people despite a 2.5 times increase in franchise storefronts, and daily reconciliation time fell from 36 hours to approximately 2 hours.
The cloud deployment minimized internal IT overhead while integrated exception workflows accelerated resolution and allowed finance staff to reallocate time to other operational activities supporting growth. Fiesta reported that ReconArt Financial Close Management delivered immediate cost reductions and payback through lower fees, reduced administrative work and reduced headcount requirements, while users found the application intuitive and easy to adopt.
