In 2014, Finish Line implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform to centralize core finance and accounting processes. The deployment used Oracle E-Business Suite versions 11i and R12 to provide a unified ledger and transaction processing foundation for corporate finance activities.
Implementation work included standard ERP Financial capabilities such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and financial reporting and close workflows. Configuration emphasized transactional controls and chart of accounts alignment to support retail financial operations and month end orchestration.
The architecture incorporated a middleware and integration layer led by Oracle SOA Suite 10g and 11g, with Oracle BPEL and Oracle Service Bus used for service orchestration. Data movement and transformation functions were handled through Oracle Data Integrator, while Java services and Google Cloud Platform components were used to host and extend integration logic and ancillary application services.
Operational governance centered on finance and accounting process standardization across Finish Line in the United States, with an embedded Oracle SOA Developer responsible for design, development, and administration of the SOA and integration stack. Change control and service orchestration procedures were instituted to manage interface deployments and ongoing middleware administration.

In 2015, Finish Line implemented Workday Absence Management. The rollout was executed through the company HRIS organization with a primary HCM focus, and the HRIS team was directly involved in configuration, evaluation, testing, and ongoing support from March 2015 into subsequent years.
Workday Absence Management in the Absence and Leave Management category was configured to manage absence plans, accrual rules, leave types, and employee and manager self-service workflows, and the effort aligned with Time, Benefits, and Expense configuration activities led by HRIS. The implementation integrated with Workday Time and Workday Benefits modules and was coordinated with payroll and timekeeping systems to preserve data integrity across systems. Governance was established within HRIS for change control, testing of data relationships and reporting, and phased functional rollouts, extending operational coverage to HR administration, payroll reconciliation, time and attendance, and benefits administration across Finish Line in the United States.

In 2014 Finish Line implemented Oracle Retail Merchandising System as a core retail platform within its Retail Management initiatives. The deployment was scoped to merchandising and IT stakeholders and was intended to centralize merchandising workflows and master data for the retailer.
Project leadership developed a strategic timeline for the Oracle Retail Merchandising System implementation working directly with key business leaders from merchandising and IT. A team of six subject matter experts successfully completed detailed requirements gathering for the new Oracle merchandising system, defining configuration parameters for item master, assortment planning, pricing and purchase order workflows that align with typical Retail Management capabilities. Configuration planning emphasized merchandise hierarchy, item attributes, and workflow orchestration between purchasing and allocation processes.
Governance was organized with merchandising and IT sponsorship, SME-driven requirements sign off, and staged capability-based rollout planning. Technical architecture considerations were addressed during requirements, and operational scope focused on merchandising and inventory related business functions. The engagement concluded the requirements phase and positioned Finish Line to proceed into subsequent configuration and testing phases of Oracle Retail Merchandising System.
