In 2017, First National Real Estate extended its MYOB Greentree ERP Financial deployment by adding MYOB Greentree eDocs to streamline expense and supplier invoice processing across the organization. First National Real Estate is a real estate network operating across Australia and New Zealand and has been a long-time MYOB Greentree customer for over two decades, using MYOB Greentree for business procedures, financial reporting and compliance.
The implementation centered on document capture and workflow automation, with MYOB Greentree eDocs configured to capture expense receipts, invoice PDFs and email attachments, and to automatically enter captured transactions into the system. Core functional capability work focused on accounts payable processing and expense management, removing duplicate data entry through single-point capture and creating automated approval routing to managers.
Operational coverage included corporate finance, accounts payable teams and approximately 25 distributed credit card users across Australia, with approval responsibilities assigned to regional managers to reconcile and authorize expenses. Configuration emphasized document allocation to managerial budgets and automatic document flow through predefined workflows, reducing manual coding and the need to print hard copy invoices.
Governance changes formalized digital approval workflows and centralized invoice allocation, which made sign-off easier for managers and reduced paper handling for staff. The documented outcomes from the implementation include greater accuracy in supplier invoice processing, reduced printing and paper costs, and a lower administrative burden on employees.
