In 2015, First Solar implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial platform to consolidate core finance and accounting functions. The deployment established Oracle NetSuite ERP as a cloud native financial system supporting general ledger control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, cash management, and financial reporting workflows.
Configuration work focused on a centralized chart of accounts, standardized period close processes, automated journal posting and approvals, and role based access controls aligned to finance and accounting responsibilities. Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to support multi entity accounting and intercompany workflows typical of ERP Financial systems, with revenue recognition and statutory reporting capabilities included in the scope.
Operational coverage centered on corporate finance, accounting and treasury functions, with configuration to support shared services and consolidated financial operations across First Solar entities. Governance changes included formalized change controls for financial configuration, defined approval routing for high risk transactions, and documented close management procedures to institutionalize the new ERP Financial operating model.

| Workday | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2011 | 2017 |
In 2011, First Solar implemented Workday HCM to replace Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, establishing Workday HCM as the company Core HR platform. The deployment supported and managed the Human Resource Information System for more than 5,000 employees across 20 countries, centralizing core HR and recruiting functions under a single HCM solution.
The implementation encompassed HCM and Recruiting functional workstreams, with a Core Project Team member contributing to the overall transition and a designated HRIS Lead managing the Workday onboarding implementation for 20 countries. Workstreams included onboarding configuration, recruiting integrations within Workday, role-based security configuration, and a hypercare support period managed immediately after go-live.
Project responsibilities extended to the design and delivery of a virtual HR Portal, where the Lead HR Project Partner role oversaw portal implementation and administration of the internal HR intranet running on SharePoint. The team coordinated regularly with the MIS organization for periodic testing and development, and maintained monthly audit processes to ensure HRIS data integrity across Workday and the HR portal environment.
Governance and operational scope were organized around centralized HRIS ownership for global HR and recruiting operations, country-level onboarding rollout coordination, and post-go-live hypercare support to stabilize processes. The initiative successfully transitioned the organization from Oracle PeopleSoft HCM into Workday HCM, with governance practices emphasizing monthly data audits, cross-team testing with MIS, and ongoing administration of the SharePoint-based HR intranet.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Maintenance Cloud | Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, First Solar implemented Oracle Maintenance Cloud to support Integrated Supply Chain maintenance operations, standardizing maintenance workflows under a Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) framework. The deployment focused on manufacturing site execution and ISC process improvement activities tied to preventive maintenance practices and equipment availability tracking.
Oracle Maintenance Cloud was configured to support core CMMS modules including asset register and hierarchy management, preventive maintenance scheduling and PM record capture, work order creation and execution, and centralized maintenance reporting. The implementation emphasized integration of PM records with statistical process control and Total Preventive Maintenance program concepts, aligning maintenance planning with continuous improvement methods such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen referenced in the ISC role profile.
Operational coverage included ISC teams and site production floor stakeholders at Perrysburg OH and adjacent ISC functions, with the system positioned to interface with enterprise asset and ERP data flows referenced by internal familiarity with SAP and Maximo functionality. System configuration and data flow design accounted for maintenance metrics, reporting needs, and the use of PM records as inputs to root cause analysis and equipment availability improvement activities.
Governance and rollout were organized around ISC process owners and cross functional teams, with responsibilities for process design, system configuration design, system testing, training, and document control assigned to continuous improvement leads. The program centered on rapid problem solving, embedding compliance and risk management into routine maintenance processes, and establishing ongoing management of ISC metrics and reporting through Oracle Maintenance Cloud.
