In 2022, First Work launched the FutureFit AI Pathways Platform as a public facing GPS for Your Career to support youth and newcomers across Ontario, Canada. The FutureFit AI Pathways Platform is positioned as a Workforce Management solution for First Work, serving core workforce development and employment services functions including skills assessment, career exploration, and training pathway orchestration.
The implementation centered on self service registration and skills profiling modules, career exploration tooling, upskilling recommendations, and automated job matching workflows. FutureFit AI Pathways Platform was configured to present public facing career guidance and to drive individualized learning and job pathway suggestions, reflecting typical Workforce Management capabilities around talent profiling, career pathways, and referral orchestration.
Operational coverage included public access to the GPS for Your Career experience and structured handoffs to delivery partners through an automated referral workflow. FutureFit reports the deployment has supported thousands of jobseekers with more than 12,000 registrations and over 1,500 automatic referrals to delivery partners, indicating the platform is actively routing candidates into partner training and employment channels.
The rollout included a public launch in September 2022 and operationalized partner referral processes to connect newcomer and youth cohorts with local training providers. FutureFit reports that the initiative improved pathways into training and employment, and the program governance emphasized coordination between First Work program teams and delivery partners to manage referrals and candidate progression.
