In 2015 Humm Group implemented Workday Absence Management as part of a coordinated Workday scope, with the engagement executed from St Leonards NSW and mandated to work with implementation partner Theory of Mind. The implementation explicitly targeted Absence and Leave Management capabilities alongside CoreHCM, Time & Attendance and Projects modules, positioning Workday Absence Management within the broader HR and workforce management footprint.
Configuration work focused on minor, targeted changes to CoreHCM, Absence, Time & Attendance and Projects, the delivery of default reports and the import of a minimal, scoped data set. The project team also planned, designed and built 12 new mobile responsive digital assets to support employee access and manager workflows, with Workday Absence Management integrated into those responsive interfaces.
Operational coverage included central HR and workforce timekeeping use cases, with project tracking capability extended through the Projects module to align absence and resource planning. The engagement included collaboration with Boston Consulting Group to shape an omnichannel marketing experience strategy and to align external customer facing assets with internal HR delivery, while keeping Workday Absence Management as the core Absence and Leave Management solution.
Governance and delivery were managed through a strengthened PMO, which established more structured, consistent processes, templates and delivery methods across FlexiGroups PMO and oversaw the planning, design and build phases. Oversight emphasized controlled configuration, reliance on default reporting, minimal data migration and coordinated vendor and consulting collaboration to maintain scope discipline for Workday Absence Management.
