In 2017, Floralux implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its core ERP Financial system, engaging Christiaens for implementation and ongoing managed services in Belgium. The deployment targeted consolidation of finance and retail operational data for a 300 employee retail organization, positioning Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support centralized financial control and operational workflows across the business.
The implementation configured category-aligned capabilities consistent with an ERP Financial rollout, including core financial management, general ledger orchestration, accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, procurement and purchasing controls, inventory and supply chain controls for retail operations, and operational reporting. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to enable transaction-level posting, period close workflows, and standardized chart of accounts and posting rules to support finance and retail reconciliation.
Integrations were established with Jet Reports for operational and financial reporting and with Microsoft 365 for identity, productivity and document management integration. The solution was provisioned in a private cloud environment on Azure, combining private cloud isolation with Microsoft cloud infrastructure to centralize application hosting, backups and platform security controls.
Christiaens provided managed services, security oversight and application support, and governance was structured between IT and finance stakeholders to manage change control, release windows and role-based access policies. Ongoing managed services covered platform patching, security configurations and operational support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Jet Reports and the Microsoft 365 integration stack.
