SAP Legacy SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2019
In 2018, Fluvius implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its core ERP Financial platform. SAP S/4 HANA was deployed to centralize financial accounting and to support utilities work management processes within the organization based in Belgium. The implementation encompassed core ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset accounting alongside enterprise asset management for utilities operations. The engagement included SAP EAM Consultant Utilities Work Management for S/4 HANA to configure work order processing, maintenance planning, and asset master structures aligned with utility operational requirements. Operational scope covered finance, asset management, maintenance, and operational teams across Fluvius, with configuration focused on integrating financial ledgers and asset accounting with utilities work management workflows. Governance was structured around centralized master data control, formal change request workflows, and role based process ownership to enforce consistent financial and asset management procedures. The deployment positioned SAP S/4 HANA as the authoritative ERP Financial backbone for Fluvius, embedding utilities work management capabilities within the same platform and aligning financial and operational process flows for ongoing enterprise operations.

SAP Legacy SAP EnableNow Digital Adoption HCM Amista 2023 2023
In 2023 Fluvius implemented SAP Enable Now as the primary Digital Adoption platform to accelerate training and on demand support for its SAP estate. The implementation targeted Fluvius operations based in Melle Belgium and across Flemish municipalities, supporting an organization of approximately 5,680 employees and focusing on rapid enablement for multiple Fluvia projects. The SAP Enable Now deployment was configured to produce a broad set of learning deliverables, including e‑learnings, simulations in multiple modes, quizzes, guided tours via Web Assistant, documentation, and MP4 video exports. Functional authoring and runtime capabilities were provisioned through Producer, Instant Producer, Manager, and Workflow components, with branded templates, resolutions, text styles, and documentation layout standardized using the Amista ZEN Best Practice structure. Technical and integration work included Single Sign On for user access, activation of the Web Assistant within SAP transaction screens for in‑context help, and a documented connection between SAP Enable Now and the Fluvius Learning Management System for content distribution and tracking. Content was surfaced to end users through the Fluvius intranet and the LMS, and Instant Producer was made available to employees to capture and share informal training material and simulations. Governance and content operations were organized around a Product Owner SEN who leads intake and quality assessment, local SPOCs who provide source material and validate outputs, and Amista consultants who acted as implementation and enablement partners. The rollout followed a storyboard and mind map intake process, regular status meetings for iterative feedback, and targeted training for SPOCs on Instant Producer and for training authors on Manager, Producer, Instant Producer, and Workflow to sustain content creation. Observed outcomes documented by the program include adoption of a blended Learning 2.0 culture emphasizing independent, on demand learning, consolidation of materials on a single LMS accessible via the intranet, in context online support for SAP applications through the Web Assistant, increased SPOC engagement in content creation, and replacement of static Word based screenshots with interactive SAP Enable Now simulations and e‑learning modules.

SAP Legacy SAP S/4 HANA - Asset Management Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018 Fluvius implemented SAP S/4 HANA - Asset Management to establish Enterprise Asset Management capabilities across its utilities operations. The initial implementation targeted core work management for utilities, and a subsequent SAP EAM consultant engagement ran from August 2019 to June 2020 in Ghent Belgium supporting the program. The deployment encompassed SAP EAM core functionality alongside Fiori for user experience, CRM integration workstreams, GEF, ESRI GIS linkage, Compatible Units configuration, and xECM document management, reflecting a multi-component architecture. Functional emphasis was placed on reactive and preventive maintenance, work order and notification handling, and a custom inspection solution prototype that was developed to match operational requirements. Integration work included prototype designs for PM Notification to CRM Service Activity synchronization and ESRI GIS alignment to support field asset spatial context, supporting maintenance and field operations processes across gas, electricity, and wastewater business functions. The program integrated asset master data, maintenance plans, notifications and service activity records to enable coordinated field execution and back office planning. Governance and delivery centered on business-led requirements workshops and iterative prototyping with utilities work management stakeholders, aligning process workflows and inspection routines to the SAP S/4 HANA - Asset Management configuration. The main project was temporarily wound up due to the COVID19 outbreak, which paused further rollout activities.
